Caroline Garber is a Senior midfielder for the women's soccer team. Caroline is a biology and hails from Cincinnati, Ohio.

Greg Meyer: Besides playing soccer what else do you enjoy doing?

Caroline Garber: I like going to movies (alone), running, eating, drawing horses, and watching Bravo (who won Top Chef Masters?!). I'm also a member of Phi Mu and do Cancer Drug Discovery Research at the Taussig Cancer Center.

GM: Movies alone? A little creeper-esque. Who inspired you to play soccer?

CG: My sisters, I have three of them. We all played when we were young and were super competitive!

GM: Sibling rivalry to a whole new meaning. Who is your favorite athlete?

CG: Hands down, Mia Hamm. Surprise!

GM: Yea, that was a shocker. What is your best soccer memory?

CG: Playing with my sister, Taylor, for 17 years and Jennifer Soo Hoo's belly-flop during our synchronized swimming routine.

GM: I can only imagine how "synchronized" that routine was. What is your favorite quote?

CG: "There are always new, grander challenges to confront, and a true winner will embrace each one." - Mia Hamm

GM: What academic honors have you received at Case?

CG: UAA All-Academic Honors, Thomas J. Bardos Award for Undergraduate Students 2009 and 2010.

GM: Back-to-back Bardos winner. No easy task. What is your worst soccer memory?

CG: When I played for Ursuline, I had to get staples in my head… twice!

GM: Jeez Zinedine Zidane. Take it easy with the head-butts. If you could invite any 3 people to dinner, living or dead, who would it be and why?

CG: I would invite both of my Grandmothers because I never had the chance to meet them and Ana Arruda's brother, Pedro. I don't have a good reason for that one.

GM: Pedro, obviously because he is running for president. Would you rather have the strength of 1000 women, be able to fly, or be invisible?

CG: Fly. Being that strong sounds scary, and what's the point of being if you're going to be invisible?

GM: Very true, I never thought about the invisibility as permanent. If they made a movie about your life, who would you want to play you?

CG: Jennifer Aniston.

GM: Top-Shelf answer. If you could be a guy for a day, what would you do?

CG: I would run and show my Dad because he always wanted a son… but has four girls instead.

GM: He must be a saint. What would we find in your locker right now that might surprise us?

CG: AXE Men's deodorant.

GM: According to the TV commercials that stuff works for the guys, not the other way around Garber. What's the one thing that most people don't know about soccer?

CG: Women are 4 times more likely to tear their ACL playing soccer than men. Soccer is also the leading sport causing ACL injuries in women. I mayyy have taken this question too seriously.

GM: Lady's be careful. This message is sponsored by Caroline Garber. What goes through your mind during a match?

CG: "Go up, get back, get in, get wide, hold, release, drive, blah blah blah" and not often enough, "chill out."

GM: Any insight on how the season is going so far?

CG: I would rather you come watch and see for yourself!

GM: Sounds like a deal. Caroline Garber, everyone.
