Ultimate club officers deserve recognition

To the Editor:

The article about the Ultimate Frisbee club [Oct. 3] was an excellent read and much appreciated. However, several important pieces of information were missing from the article.
Although the captains run the team on the field, our officers do nearly all of the day-to-day running of the club, including working with the Athletic Department and securing funding for the club from the school. In addition, we elect "tournament directors" to run our tournaments. These people put in many hours to organize our tournaments. Both of these groups deserve recognition. This year's officers are Brian Nelson (vice president), Allison Williams (secretary), Kevin Pochatilla (treasurer), and myself (president). Our tournament directors are Corbett Walsh (North Coast) and Tess Henderson (CWRUL). These people work closely with the captains to ensure the smooth operation of the club.
Second, there was no mention of where to find more information about the club. Further information, including a practice schedule, can be found on our website: Everyone is welcome to all of our practices, regardless of experience or athletic ability.
Finally, for those who were wondering, the picture with the article was taken by a club member of a former member on our spring break trip to Georgia. It is not a stock photo!
Thank you again for the excellent article!
