With all of the criticisms and grievances we dole out each week to various student groups and university offices, you'd think that we find Case Western Reserve University to be in permanent "fixer-upper" status. Indeed, we believe the opposite and want to take a moment to truly appreciate just how lucky we are on this campus.

Given my complete disdain for most reality TV stars, it is somewhat surprising that I feel nothing but sympathy for Bristol Palin. Yes, I feel sorry for Palin, the unwed teenage mother, Us Weekly covergirl, "Dancing with the Stars" contestant, D-list celebrity, reality famewhore.

In case you haven't heard yet, there's a new referendum on California's ballot known as the Regulate, Control, and Tax Cannabis Act of 2010. If approved, the act would legalize marijuana in California. Although I am not a fan of California politics, I commend the Sunshine State for finally realizing that marijuana prohibition is, well, just plain stupid.
