Brandeis University Judges
Last Year: 4th (men) and 7th (women)
Men: The Judges are ranked no. 23 in the nation by the USTFCCA, and are coming off a ninth-place finish at the Albany Invitational.
Women: Ranked no. 26 in the nation, they finished in eighth last week at Albany in a field that included other nationally-ranked teams.
Runners to Watch: Men - Dan Anastos (junior). He had the top time at Albany. Another strong performance from him would give the team needed depth in the meet.
Women - Hannah Lindholm (junior). She had the second best time at Albany, and could be key to a strong Brandeis finish.
Quotable: Men - "On the men's side, we're led by Paul Norton, a junior. He's having a great season. He was sixth at the New England Championships, and he'll be looking to be one of the top runners in the UAA." - Coach John Evans
Women - "Grayce Selig, a junior, has been our top runner. We have a real strong group behind her in junior Maria Lemay and sophomores Kate Warwick and Alyssa Pisarik." - Evans
Carnegie Mellon University Tartans
Last Year: 2nd (men) and 6th (women)
Men: Ranked No. 19 in the nation, they are led by a solid group of four runners: juniors Dan Addis and J.P Allera, sophomore Matt Jacob and senior Dario Donatelli, Jr.
Women: Ranked No. 7 in the Mideast Region, they have a young team, and freshman Emily Wobb has been their top runner all year.
Runners to Watch: Men - Nate Bussiere (junior). As one of the top runners outside the top four, how he runs may determine the Tartans' finish.
Women - Wobb. She has a chance to give the Tartans their second UAA Rookie of the Year in a row.
Quotable: Men - "We have a nice group of returning guys who have some experience, and they are optimistic about their chances…We don't have any superstars, but we have a real nice pack of five or six guys." - Coach Dario Donatelli
Women - "On the women's side, we're kind of the opposite in that we're a very inexperienced and young team, but we have a couple of athletes that are doing very well, and we figure to have couple of individuals up there." - Donatelli
