The Case swim team had an exciting meet this past weekend, participating in the Veale Classic. The meet is set up in a duels format, meaning that there are four different teams competing against each other in order to make it to the championship. The teams that swam this weekend, in addition to Case, were the College of Wooster, Oberlin College, and John Carroll University. Friday night at 5 p.m., Wooster and John Carroll swam against each other, and Wooster moved on to the championship the next day. Case swam against Oberlin, and both the men's and women's teams from Case advanced to the Saturday championship.

"They swam great, and the women's meet was especially exciting against Oberlin," Coach Chris Conlon said of the Friday night preliminaries. Saturday at 10:30 p.m. was the consolation meet, in which the losing teams competed against each other. The championship took place at 1 p.m., between Case and Wooster. The Case men's team won against Wooster, while the women's team finished second. Coach Conlon says that this year he is "thrilled with how we're swimming, and we're training very hard. The women's team isn't as big, but is very strong. The men's team is very deep, and very fast. They're both swimming very, very well."
