The latest issue of Entertainment Weekly (a.k.a the bible in Revue-land,) had this headline in bright yellow letters:?"The 10 Best TV?Shows Right Now!"
Now when I read this headline, my head was automatically filled with thoughts of shows like "Lost", "Glee", and so on.

In some cultures, bridal showers consist of colorful costumes, food, festivities and elaborate ceremonies that intend to usher in good luck and joy to the new couple while simultaneously allowing the women present to bondt.
While the ladies of Hillsdale College are less elaborate when they throw showers for brides-to-be, their informality and budgets do not inhibit creativity or the ability to provide lasting, bonding experiences.

Remember the hip-huggers and cut-off T-shirts of junior high, when everything was as short, tight and low as your parents would allow? Those days are over. For the last several years, dresses and florals have been taking over. But feminine doesn't mean frumpy as three Hillsdale seniors prove.

Angela Meiers did not know the basics of preparing for an interview, researching a job or creating a resume until she met with Carol Greco, director of Career Development. Meiers was then given templates and information about what exactly she was supposed to do when applying for a job.

I'm gonna preface this with the fact that I hate Tim Burton. Like, truly despise. Every time he makes a new movie, every Hot Topic shopping shithead creams their pants while I drop to my knees and shake my fists furiously at the gods. This is because the man makes the same damn movie every time.

Let me be blunt: "Cop Out" is one of the least funny movies that I've ever had the misfortune to see in a theater. Seriously Kevin Smith, what were you thinking? Did you just need a payday? There may have been a few jokes in "Cop Out" that I laughed at, but I did far more cringing, frowning, and burying my head in my hands than anything else.

Make room, metrosexuals and polo-wearing nerds: a manlier man, full-bearded and hairier-chested, has hung up his flannel coat at Hillsdale College and is here to stay.
According to January's New York Magazine, it's the latest fashion trend: the Urban Woodsman.

While working at 61C Cafe in Squirrel Hill, Jamie Flannick began to notice a "really great" and "charismatic" frequent customer, Rebekah Laslow, a Point Park University senior.
One day Laslow ordered a tea that the cafe had run out of. The staff found one last bag, so Flannick wrote a note with his number on it and gave it to Laslow as she left.

As a young 16-year-old, I remember being extremely excited at the prospects of actually seeing a band whose album I respected coming to downtown St. Catharines.
Back in 2002, Vancouver's Hot Hot Heat (HHH) made their St. Catharines debut at the first, well-recognized show at downtown's L3.

There have been many events raising awareness about this year's theme of consumption, but only one occasion where the performers chucked bananas at the audience.
In a show both silly and serious, the traveling feminist theater troupe The Guerrilla Girls on Tour creatively tackled consumption themes in "Feminists are Funny - The Food Edition," on March 3 in Ace Morgan Theatre.

How many bands can you think of that found moderate, critical and commercial success on one album, and then took their next album to become a pop success by staying the same, just far more accessible?
Think Coldplay, Snow Patrol, Kings of Leon - they all did it.

When I heard that Steven Page was performing at the Sean O'Sullivan Theatre on March 5, to say I was excited would be an understatement.
The Barenaked Ladies and their talented and charismatic former lead singer Steven Page, played a large role in my musical exposure.

Joanna Newsom is not to be taken seriously. In fact, it is important to understand that the artists on Drag City--the Chicago-based indie label that is home to Newsom and a number of other semi-geniuses--is not to be taken seriously. Of course, in no way does this mean that Newsom's releases--or her label mate's releases--are not brilliant, beautiful, and fully realized perfect pieces of music.

You. You, and that astonishingly graceful happy-dance you do after seeing an A on your returned midterms. Cleveland's best kept secret?
Well, no, probably not. For a phrase so often thrown around, determining whether or not the item in reference qualifies for the hallowed 'best kept secret' status is hardly a process of scientific rigor.

In Moon, the film written and directed by Duncan Jones, we are confronted with several fundamental ethical issues. Sam Bell faces the alienation of being alone on a lunar station, completely isolated from earth by a faulty communications link. However, the reasons for this isolation are not as simple as being alone on the moon.

Detroit, the city renowned for graffiti and ghettos. But that's not the Detroit I know. Mine is full of architecture and modern art set to the soundtrack of buzzing chains and humming tires. Beat The Train: it means a lot of things to all of its members, but to me it's about breaking out and seeing the city at its best.
